HR Sports Academy is a Community Interest Company based in the London Borough of Haringey dedicated to building a bright future for children and young people through a range of sporting activity.

 

An exciting, unique and distinct opportunity awaits four young people. HR Sports Academy are recruiting Sports Coach Trainees aged 16-18.

 

Traineeships help unlock your great potential and give you the skills that employers are looking for through work preparation training, maths and English (for those who need it) and work experience. Our Traineeship programme has become an established part of HR Sports Academy’s approach to recruitment. It offers opportunities to candidates to progress to an Apprenticeship, a permanent job and ensures HR Sports Academy has a regular intake of skilled and loyal staff.

 

On a day to day basis you may be:

  • Sports coaching, planning and preparing sessions

  • Supporting and organising events/sports tournaments

  • Working in schools coaching various sports

  • Working with our youth football team

  • Working on our community sport projects

  • The role is very varied

 

Are you eligible?

  • Are you currently not in a job?

  • Do you have little or no work experience?

  • Are you aged 16 to 18 and qualified below Level 3 (A level)?

This Traineeship opportunity is unwaged but could lead onto a fully paid Apprenticeship for the successful candidate and each trainee that passes the programme will be awarded with a £100 completion bonus.

 

Training to be provided

  • 16 weeks of training provided by HR Sports Academy to complete 1st 4 Sport Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Coaching Sport qualification

  • Safeguarding and First Aid certificate

  • Support with Functional Skills in English and Mathematics

  • Traineeships offer a guaranteed interview upon completion

 

Future prospects

After a successful 16 weeks, the candidate will be interviewed for a contract with HR Sports Academy with opportunities to progress within the company.

 

HR Sports Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
